Marty Busch Reserve in Sebastopol has fully upgraded changerooms and facilities thanks to a significant council investment.
The new facilities will reduce barriers to female and junior participation in sport and improve access for all participants.
The recent upgrade works at the reserve include, upgraded football changerooms, new netball changerooms, new lighting at the BMX track along with new starting gates, and oval resurfacing and lighting.
Investment into the project totaled $700,000, fully funded by the City of Ballarat, and reinforces council's commitment to providing access to modern sport and recreation facilities for everyone in the municipality.
City of Ballarat Mayor, Cr Daniel Moloney, said this investment reflects council's commitment to a healthy future for Sebastopol and the wider Ballarat community.
"Projects and investment of this standard not only address parts of the reserve that were non-compliant and outdated but also reduces barriers to female and junior participation and improves access for all participants."
