Marvellous March in Whitehorse: Shake at Lake and Moonlight Movie Night

Two popular family events return to Whitehorse this month, with an afternoon of music and dance at Shake at the Lake and a Moonlight Movie Night.

Whitehorse Mayor Councillor Sharon Ellis said the two fun events, part of the Whitehorse Festival Season's Swing Pop Boom! series, are a great way for the community to get together and share the joy of Whitehorse in autumn.

"Shake at the Lake is an energetic afternoon of jazz, soul and rock 'n' roll music and everyone who wants to is encouraged to get moving and dance the afternoon away. Otherwise, take it easy and just tap your toes," Cr Ellis said.

The Pearly Shells and Juke Box Racket will provide the swingin' beats, with free face painting and amazing parkland to be explored on the day.

Moonlight Movie Night this year will screen The Secret Life of Pets 2. Pack the popcorn and welcome in the school holidays with a family favourite under the stars.

Snacks will be available to purchase at both events.
