Maya is missing - Can you help police find her?

Werribee police are appealing for witnesses after an 11 month old miniature toy poodle was stolen in Werribee last November.

Investigators have been told Maya got out of her yard and wandered to the nearby intersection of Synnot Street and Geelong Road about 12pm when she was taken on 18 November.

Witnesses told police that a woman got out of a vehicle at the intersection and placed Maya in the vehicle and drove off.

At the time, the vehicle was being driven by a man and the vehicle was described as a 4x4 dual cab utility which was towing a white boat at the time.

The woman was described as Caucasian in appearance and aged between 40 and 50 years-old.

She had a medium build with grey curly hair which was pulled back and she was wearing a t-shirt and pants at the time.

Investigators have released an image of Maya and her collar in the hope that someone recognises the beloved family pet.

Maya is micro chipped and her devastated owner is desperate to have her returned home.

Anyone with information on Maya's whereabouts is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential report online at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au
