Strike Force Vulcan officers are investigating a suspicious fire that occurred in Maylands in the early hours of Friday morning, 9 January 2021.
Just after midnight, a two fires were lit in the marsh area near the Swan River foreshore, approximately 100m east of the Maylands Yacht Club. Department of Fire and Emergency Services attended and extinguished the fire.
Investigators urge anyone who was in the vicinity of the fire who has vision, or who saw any suspicious people, or vehicles to come forward.

Rewards of up to $50,000 are available for information that leads to the identification and conviction of an arsonist.
