Mayor Advocates For Deniliquin Childcare At Premier's Business Forum

Edward River Council Mayor, Cr Ashley Hall, attended Business NSW's In Conversation with the Premier event in Albury on Tuesday 7 October, where he joined regional business and community leaders for a valuable exchange of ideas and priorities.

The event featured a keynote address by the NSW Premier, The Hon. Chris Minns MP, followed by a Q&A session and networking opportunities.

Mayor Hall took the chance to speak directly with the Premier about the urgent childcare crisis facing Deniliquin, particularly in light of the recent closure of one of the town's major childcare centres.

"The lack of childcare facilities and available places in Deniliquin is placing significant pressure on local families and our workforce," Mayor Hall said.

"It was encouraging to talk with the Premier about rural concerns and to hear him express strong support for Council's efforts to address this priority issue."
