COUNCILLOR RAISED ISSUES

Questions Without Notice

Cr Ryan-Sykes raised several Questions Without Notice. The questions will be available for viewing via the approved minutes of the meeting or by viewing the LIVE stream of the meeting available on the WCC website.

Motions Without Notice

Recommendation

That Council change its decision on the Event Sponsorship application of allocating $1000,00 for Cornerstone Youth Services towards the Tasmanian Rock Challenge to be held in Queenstown in April 2022 and reallocate the $2000.00 as per original request as the challenge will not go ahead without council's full support. It must also be noted that it is not just about the money but also shows that the community supports the hard work that they have put in to organise an event on the West Coast. It will also show the importance of councillor's decisions to indicating priorities to outside organisations.

If council decides to change its decision that a letter also be sent to the organisers highlighting that the original decision was made in haste as it was a late item on the last agenda and the full benefits of the challenge being held on the West Coast was not appreciated.
