Medals stolen during burglary – Dianella

Morley Police are investigating a burglary that occurred in Dianella on Tuesday 12 November 2019.

Between 7.45 am and 4.15 pm thieves forced open the front door of a residence in Homer Street and rummaged through the house, stealing a number of items before leaving.

Amongst the items stolen was a World War Two medal group presented to the victim’s grandmother, Nurse Fay CAPLAN, at Buckingham Palace. The medals are of sentimental value to the victim and his family as they have been handed down through the family after their grandmother passed away.

Anyone who has any information on this incident, was in the area around the times of the burglary, or who may have seen anything suspicious in the area at the time is asked to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or report online at
