Medication Impact on Cognition in Older Adults Studied

JAMA Network

About The Study: This cross-sectional study found a disproportionately high percentage of older adults initiating medications that affect cognition from an acute or postacute setting compared with their percentage of visits to such settings. The findings suggest that efforts to reduce prescriptions of medications affecting cognition might have the greatest impact targeting prescriptions from acute or postacute settings.
