Bass Coast Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding a burglary and subsequent deceptions which occurred in last week, Victoria Police say.
Investigators have been told a man forced entry at an address on Whitelaw Street, Meeniyan about 3.10am on Thursday 23 February.
Once inside the premises the offender has stolen the cash drawer and a number of credit cards.
Later the same day the stolen credit cards were used at a service station on the South Gippsland Highway near McDonalds Track in Lang Lang.
Police have released images of a man they believe may be able to assist them with their enquires.
