The 2021 Meet Darwin familiarisation event promoted Darwin as one of Australia's elite business event destinations at the Darwin Convention Centre today.

The four-day event marks the first of three re-imagined Meet Darwin programs planned this year with further programs scheduled for July and August.

Meet Darwin includes a range of cultural, historic and nature-based elements over the next four days and deliver insights into the Territory's best assets as an event destination, including BASSINTHEGRASS.

The program included a business session, engagement with Tourism Top End's Welcome to the Dry event and an industry networking event, providing an opportunity for planners to engage with multiple industry partners.

One of the highlights was an exclusive dinner featuring the Darwin Convention Centre's world Seven Seasons dining experience shining a light on the centre's capacity, capability and cuisine.

The Territory Labor Government's long-term Business Events Strategy to 2030 includes the Northern Territory Business Events Support Fund which offers financial assistance to eligible organisations considering holding a business event in the Territory.

The 2021 Meet Darwin familiarisation event was delivered in partnership by the Darwin Convention Centre and NT Tourism.
