Congratulations to four of WA's brightest young advocates.
Four young Western Australians with a passion for advocacy and community leadership have been appointed ambassadors for Youth Week WA 2026 .
Regina Ndossi (22), Alessia Maio (24), Josh Patrick (17) and Maeson Harvey (24) have been appointed the 'voices of young people' for next year's Youth Week WA celebrations which will run from 10-16 April 2026.
Youth Week WA is the State's largest annual celebration of young people aged 10 to 25, recognising their social, cultural and economic contributions across Western Australia. The newly appointed ambassadors will help shape the 2026 program, contributing to its planning, development and statewide promotion.
The four ambassadors reflect the diversity of WA's youth community, including representation from LGBTIQA+ young people, regional and metropolitan areas, young carers and young people living with disability.
They represent a wide range of lived experiences and interests, from mental health advocacy and reducing social isolation to driving intersectional engagement and strengthening pathways for young people to influence decision-makers.
The theme for Youth Week WA 2026, Strength in Our Stories, was selected in collaboration with the Ministerial Youth Advisory Council (MYAC) and the Ambassadors after an invitation for young Western Australians to submit ideas and creative concepts. Submitted by Jesryl Santos, the theme highlights the power of young people's diverse experiences and backgrounds to bring about change, overcome challenges and strengthen communities.
The State Government has also confirmed the Shire of Capel will host the official launch of Youth Week WA 2026, kicking off a week of events and activities across Western Australia.
