Melbourne assault and robbery

Melbourne Embona Task Force officers are investigating an assault and robbery which occurred in Melbourne earlier this month.

Investigators have been told a man was walking along Princess Bridge about 8.40pm on Tuesday 13 September when he was approached by three men.

The men demanded the victim hand over his wallet and threatened to hit him.

The 44-year-old victim refused, and the men started to assault him.

As the victim tried to run away, he was dragged to the ground by one of the offenders.

While on the ground the trio stole the victim’s laptop from his backpack before they ran from the scene.

Investigators have released CCTV footage and images of three men they believe may be able to assist with their enquires.

The men are perceived to be Caucasian in appearance and aged in their 20s.
