Melbourne watch theft

Police are appealing for public help to identify a man after a theft at a designer goods shop in Melbourne's CBD.

Investigators have been told a man entered the store in Collins Street about 2.40pm on Thursday 30 July this year.

It's believed he stole a watch valued at about $1500 while a worker was distracted.

Police have released images of a man they hope can assist with their enquiries.

He's perceived to be 25-30 years old, about 170cm tall and was wearing a black suit jacket with jeans, a black and white scarf and a white face mask.

Anyone who recognises the man or has information on the shop theft should call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential report at www.crimestoppervic.com.au.
