Men charged over affray, NSW

Three men have been charged and investigations continue following an alleged affray at Town Hall today, NSW Police say.

Just before 2am today, police will allege two groups became involved in an altercation under the Town Hall steps on George Street, Sydney.

Police from Sydney City Local Area Command were called to the incident and arrested five at the scene.

Three men – aged 18, 19 and 19 – were arrested and taken to Day Street Police Station.

The men were charged with affray and granted conditional bail to appear at Downing Centre Local Court on Wednesday 31 August 2016.

Two teenage boys – aged 15 – were assessed at the scene and taken to hospital by NSW Ambulance Paramedics with minor injuries.

Investigations are continuing and further charges are expected to be laid.
