Four men have been charged following reports of an alleged brawl at a shopping centre in the Illawarra today, NSW Police say.
About 11am (Saturday 7 April 2018), police from Wollongong Police District responded to reports of men fighting inside a shopping mall on the Princes Highway at Figtree.
Witnesses told police that during the brawl, the men allegedly fell towards a woman and a child who were eating lunch nearby.
Both were uninjured during the melee.
Four men were arrested at the scene and taken to Wollongong Police Station where they were charged with affray.
Two men – aged 37 and 32 – were granted conditional bail to appear at Wollongong Local Court on Tuesday 1 May 2018.
The other two men – aged 20 and 22 – were granted conditional bail to appear at Wollongong Local Court on Tuesday 8 May 2018.
