An investigation is underway after two men were stabbed in separate incidents at West Tamworth overnight, NSW Police say.
Just before 4am (Saturday 17 November 2018), a 27-year-old man approached three men who were talking loudly outside his home on Flemming Crescent.
Police have been told an altercation then took place before one of the group stabbed the man.
They fled and emergency services were contacted.
The injured man was taken to Tamworth Hospital with a stab wound to his upper arm.
Officers from Oxley Police District attended and established a crime scene, which was forensically examined.
An investigation into the incident is underway and police are investigating whether it’s linked to another stabbing at West Tamworth earlier in the evening.
About 10pm (Friday 16 November), a 33-year-old man has told police he was stabbed from behind while walking.
The man was taken to hospital for treatment; however, has not told police the exact details or location of the incident.
Inquiries are continuing.
