It will be the first time Australia is represented in the globally renowned guide, and all inclusions will be in South Australia.

The MICHELIN Guide Restaurant Ceremony South Australia will be held at the Adelaide Convention Centre next Wednesday, 14 October.

The historic MICHELIN Guide reveal marks an opportunity to tell South Australia's food and wine story and celebrate the state's local produce and wine regions that help make it a world-class culinary destination.

The South Australian Tourism Commission has invited the state's tourism and hospitality industries to leverage the state's 'MICHELIN moment' by sharing their local food and wine recommendations.

Sharing one of the state's many food and wine stories, Singing Magpie Produce in the Riverland celebrates that the MICHELIN Guide coming to South Australia 'is for all of us. It's not just the fancy end of town' and receiving a 'Michelin Star means someone, somewhere, cared enough to notice the whole story - not just the plate, but everything and everyone behind it.'

South Australia will offer the full MICHELIN Guide 'package' to potential visitors, with hotels across the state featured in the MICHELIN Hotel selection 2026 revealed last month. Kangaroo Island's Southern Ocean Lodge received three coveted MICHELIN Keys, placing it in the top 155 hotels worldwide, and one of only three in Australia. A further five unique South Australian accommodation destinations were awarded Keys, and another 10 SA hotels made it into the 2026 selection.

As the MICHELIN Guide reveal fast approaches, South Australians are being called upon to book their favourite local restaurant and bucket-list destinations now before the world books them out next week.

Minister for Tourism, Emily Bourke said in just one week, Australia will be home to its first ever MICHELIN Guide restaurants, and they will all have one address - South Australia.

"We continue to hear what a momentous occasion this is for our hospitality industry, not just to boost bookings, but to attract and retain the best talent as South Australia cements itself as the most attractive destination in Australia for established chefs and those on the rise," Minister Bourke said.

"South Australia is a place known for our generous hospitality, and I have no doubt this will be represented by a range of restaurants set to be included in the Guide from local favourites to fine dining."
