Couples in Newcastle and Wollongong can now book an affordable and personalised wedding at a stunning location with the NSW Registry of Births Deaths & Marriages launching its Coastal collection of micro-wedding venues.
NSW Registrar Amanda Ianna said the Coastal Collection would enable couples to get married at iconic locations such as Mereweather Surf House and Wollongong Golf Course along with other venues in Sydney.
"Births Deaths & Marriages' micro-wedding service offers couples a once in a lifetime opportunity to get married at venue of their dreams, making it a truly memorable and affordable day," Ms Ianna said.
"Since the launch of the City collection in April we have been overrun with enquiries. We are very excited to expand the micro-wedding locations into Newcastle and Wollongong through to the Coastal collection.
"Micro-weddings are proving very popular with couples, especially following COVID-19 restrictions, with the team at Births Deaths & Marriages doing all the hard work. It's easy to organise with brides and grooms still able to customise their wedding based on preferences and budget."
Ms Ianna said a micro-wedding was an intimate gathering with 35 people or less that gives couples an opportunity to have their dream wedding day on a smaller scale and budget.
"With COVID-19 restrictions, the past year has made it difficult to host a wedding with a large guest list, so a micro-wedding is perfect for any couple who want to proceed with a more inclusive occasion," Ms Ianna said.
"Organising it through Births Death & Marriages means couples can get married at one of the best wedding venues without the hassle and at the fraction of the usual cost.
"In Australia the average wedding costs $36,000 so this also offers couples the opportunity to start their lives on the right financial footing."
The Coastal collection also includes three venues in Sydney; Sergeants Mess in Mosman, Icebergs in Bondi, and Clovelly Surf Club, with packages and styles to suit all seasons, tastes, and budgets.
Micro-weddings through Births Deaths & Marriages can include all the traditional wedding elements such as food and beverage reception packages, accommodation, photography packages, or bouquets and buttonholes.
All legal requirements are taken care of by our staff, including the wedding ceremony, booking of the celebrant and venue, lodgement of notice of intention to marry as well as a standard and commemorative wedding certificate.
Bookings for Coastal venues are now available with the weddings to take place between February and March 2022 with packages starting from $1,049. Availability at each venue is limited and based on first to book.
