MidCoast Council's Scheduled Roadwork This Fortnight

MidCoast Council

Find out where road reconstruction, flood recovery works, pothole patching and maintenance grading is taking place across the MidCoast.

This fortnightly update is a guide to MidCoast Council roadworks and maintenance projects that are ongoing or scheduled to take place over the next two weeks. With wet weather about, there may be changes to the works program, with delayed starts on some works.

Drivers may experience minor traffic delays at some of these locations.

The pothole patching crew are scheduled to be at the following locations: various streets in Coopernook; Hannam Vale; Gloucester; Johns River; Taree; and Wingham as well as on Nowendoc Road; The Bucketts Way; Lansdowne Road; Myall Way and Albatross Avenue.

Heavy patching is scheduled for The Branch Lane. A heavy patch is a square-shaped repair, which is used to fix the worst sections of damaged roads. It restores strength and improves safety in specific areas without needing a full rebuild. While not a long-term solution, it helps keep roads safe and drivable while working within Council's budget to prolong the life of a road.

Road reconstruction works are nearing completion in Bushland Drive, Taree (Lawson Crescent to North Street) and Kolinda Drive, Old Bar with spray sealing scheduled for the first and second week of November. And road reconstruction works also continue on The Bucketts Way, Krambach; while on Bowman Farm Road road rehabilitation is underway. Roadworks are also underway at Diamond Beach Road and Redhead Road intersection; Upper Myall Road; and resealing work will get under way on The Bucketts Way, at locations in Gloucester, Burrell Creek, Tinonee, and Belbora.

Maintenance grading on unsealed roads is scheduled for Showground Road Gloucester; Millers Road; Gunyah Road; Rivendell Lane; Mulligans Lane; Red Gully Road; Possum Brush Road; Isaacs Lane; Wharf Road; Mill Creek Road; Johnsons Creek Road; Curreeki Creek; and gravel resheeting is planned for the Monkerai area.

Major repairs continue on natural disaster projects including Thunderbolts Way – Gloryvale Bridge; Scone Road, landslip site near Geales Bridge; Thunderbolts Way – landslip, north of Giro; Barrington East Road; Berrico Creek Road Bridge; Oakey Creek Road causeway; Maslens Lane; Falklands Road – sink hole; and Giro Road; drainage works are scheduled for The Bucketts Way; Tallowwood Lane; and McCaffrey's Road; and batter protection works for the landslip at Seal Rocks.
