Mildura Rural City Council's Libraries are inviting families to take part in a series of fun, free activities for children, parents and carers to celebrate Children's Week 2023.

Children's Week runs from Saturday 21 October to Sunday 29 October, with this year's theme celebrating the right children have to relax, play and take part in activities they enjoy.

Councillor for Community Health and Wellbeing Troy Bailey said Children's Week is a time to highlight and celebrate the talents, skills and achievements of our children.

"Every child has the right to play, get creative and to be themselves, and Council is keen to provide these opportunities through our library services," Cr Bailey said.

Throughout this week Mildura, Merbein and Red Cliffs Libraries will host a range of activities free to families, including Kids Yoga, Mum's and Bubs Yoga and a Story Walk.

"Our libraries have created a fantastic program full of educational and diverse activities to engage local families. These activities not only contribute to learning but also promote social and physical development," he said.
