We are seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) from community groups and not for profit organisations to be our new tenant at Miller's Homestead, Boronia.
Miller's Homestead is located on the corner of Melrose Court and Dorrigo Drive, Boronia. It is a single-story Victorian residence owned by Council. The heritage listed building has been restored and is the best example of the late Victorian 'boom' era architecture of the 1880s in Knox.
The successful lease arrangement may involve one tenant or multiple tenants using the site, with one organisation acting as the lead tenant. The site would be used to deliver programs, services, events and activities that support the community.
The EOI is for tenancy at the venue for a 5-year period. A Community Agreement will be developed with the selected tenant, and a community tenancy fee applied annually, reviewed in accordance with Council's adopted Fees and Charges.
In accordance with Council's Leasing and Licencing Policy , we are opening the EOI up to the community publicly to apply, rather than offering it directly to one organisation.
Key dates
- Applications open from Monday 6 July and close at 5pm Friday 31 July 2026.
- The venue will be able for new occupants from early 2027.
Inspections
Interested groups and organisations can email to book a facility inspection. Inspections will run on Monday 13 July from 3pm - 4pm and Wednesday 15 July from 2pm - 3pm.
More information
Visit the Proposal to lease, sell and exchange Council land page for more information on the venue and to submit your EOI.
