Million Dollar Fish Season 11 is set for an exciting new twist with the introduction of the Reel of Fortune, a spinning wheel that will unlock extra challenges and bonus incentives monthly for anglers throughout the remainder of the season.
Kicking off in November and running through to the season's close in March 2026, the Reel of Fortune adds a layer of unpredictable excitement to Australia's richest fishing competition.
The very first spin of the Million Dollar Fish Reel of Fortune has landed on a lucrative incentive for the month of November: The Weekend Fisho. The angler who lands a $10,000 red-tagged fish on a weekend in November will double their money to $20,000.
The promotion is a "winner takes all" challenge. Once the first eligible $10,000 fish is caught during a weekend in November (see dates below), the promotion will close for the rest of the month. This creates a high-stakes rush for fishos planning to hit the water every weekend.
The eligible weekend dates to double your money for the November incentive are from Friday at 3:00pm until 11:59pm Sunday: 1-2 Nov, 7-9 Nov, 14-16 Nov, 21-23 Nov, and 28-30 Nov.
Anglers are encouraged to keep a close eye on Million Dollar Fish social media channels at the beginning of each month to see what new, exciting challenge the Reel of Fortune will deliver next.
Season 11 has kicked off with a bang, with nine $10,000 red-tagged barramundi already caught. This exciting start to the competition included three back-to-back catches and an interstate winner.
To date, $90,000 in prize money has been awarded this season. The competition also continues to support its official charity partner, Surf Life Saving NT, which has received $9,000 this season, with $1,000 donated for every $10,000 red-tagged fish caught.
There are still 91 red-tagged barramundi worth $10,000 swimming around the Top End waterways. An incredible 11 tagged fish carrying a $1 million tag are active - nine from Season 9, one from Season 10, and one from Season 11.
