Mine Land Rehabilitation Authority appoints new CEO

David Salmon has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of the Mine Land Rehabilitation Authority.

Established on 30 June 2020, the Authority is overseeing the rehabilitation of declared mine land to ensure transition to safe, stable and sustainable post-mining landscapes across Victoria.

Mr Salmon has 38 years' experience in mine environmental management, mine rehabilitation and mine closure. His unique combination of skills and knowledge in the areas of water management of mine pit voids and coal mine closure will assist the authority to address the issues and challenges of mine rehabilitation.
