The Honourable Anita Anand, Minister of Foreign Affairs, today announced that she will welcome H.E. Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Kuwait, on his first visit to Ottawa, Ontario on September 17, 2026.
The ministers will discuss opportunities to further strengthen the long-standing relationship between Canada and Kuwait, building on more than 60 years of positive and constructive relations, to advance shared priorities, including regional and international issues, economic cooperation and security.
Minister Anand will highlight the strong partnership between Canada and Kuwait and Canada's commitment to working with partners across the Gulf region to support regional stability and security.
