Yesterday, the Honourable Tim Hodgson, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, met with Poland's Minister of State Assets, Wojciech Balczun, in Warsaw, Poland. Minister Hodgson underscored Canada's interest in supporting Poland's energy transition and energy security objectives through reliable, proven Canadian nuclear solutions.
Minister Hodgson also met with Secretary of State Eliza Ziedler to discuss broader energy cooperation, including opportunities around offshore wind, liquified natural gas (LNG), potash, and mining.
Minister Hodgson and his Polish counterparts committed to continued dialogue at both the political and technical levels. Canada stands ready to work with Poland to advance a strong, competitive partnership that supports Poland's long-term energy security and decarbonization goals and creates economic opportunities and spurs investment in Canada and Poland.
