Regional passengers have again been left stranded after yesterday's XPT service from Sydney to Grafton, and this morning's return trip from Grafton to Sydney were cancelled at short notice, with no alternate transport provided.
Shadow Minister for Regional Transport and Roads Paul Toole said the news came without any warning.
"Travellers across regional NSW have had their journeys abruptly cancelled and haven't been given any alternate transport options," Mr Toole said.
"Under the city-centric Minns Labor Government we've seen endless cuts and bad decisions, from slashing the Regional Seniors Travel Card to regular cancellations of a critical transport route for the state's seniors.
"The NSW Premier and the Minister for Regional Transport and Roads need to stop treating regional passengers like an afterthought."
Nationals Member for Clarence Richie Williamson said the Minns Labor Government clearly doesn't understand how vital this service is to our communities.
"Our communities rely on this route to stay connected with family and friends and to travel to vital medical appointments in Sydney," Mr Williamson said.
"To leave passengers stranded on the platform is not good enough."
