Missing children in Cranbrook

Police are seeking urgent public assistance to locate two young boys who have gone missing from a Townsville residence this afternoon.

The boys, aged 3 and 5, were last seen at a home on Brett Street in Cranbrook around 5.30pm.

CCTV has captured the boys walking along Brett Street towards Ross River (pictured).

The boys are described as aboriginal, with the older one wearing a local school shirt that is read with white sleeves. The younger boy is wearing blue shorts, no shirt. Both boys may be either barefoot or wearing thongs.

Police are urging residents along Riverway Drive and those living in the vicinity of the Rosslea Golf Course to please check their yards for the children.

Anyone else who may have seen them is being urged to contact police immediately.
