Missing man found deceased - Bouddi National Park

A body has been recovered by police searching for a man missing from Killcare.

Officers from Brisbane Water Police District have been conducting inquires to locate a 61-year-old man, who was last seen leaving a home on Smithy Street, Killcare, just after 8.30am yesterday (Wednesday 12 August 2020).

The man's vehicle was located in the car park of Mount Bouddi picnic area and following an extensive search of the area, with the assistance of PolAir, the body of a man was found earlier today (Thursday 13 August 2020).

The body was recovered and while it is yet to be formally identified, it is believed to be that of the missing man.

A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
