Missing man in Penrith

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a man missing in Sydney's west.

Anthony East, 51, was last seen leaving a hospital on Derby Street, Kingswood, about midnight (Wednesday 6 February 2019).

He failed to arrive at a South Penrith home as planned and officers from Nepean Police Area Command were notified about 3am.

A search of the surrounding area commenced and police are urging residents and motorists around Pindari Drive, South Penrith, to be aware.

Concerns are held for Anthony's welfare due to his health.

Anthony is described as being of Caucasian appearance, of large build, with short brown hair.

He was last seen wearing jeans, a pink shirt and carrying a back pack.

Anyone with information or who sights Anthony is urged to come forward.
