Police will prepare a report for the coroner following the discovery of a deceased man in the Murray River near Mildura this morning.
Officers from New South Wales police and Victoria Police were called to the river in the vicinity of Apex Park shortly after 9.30am.
Although the body is yet to be formally identified, police believe it to be that of 94-year-old Joseph McRann, who was last seen in Mildura on 20 June.
Victoria Police would like to thank members of the local community and the New South Wales Police Force who assisted with the search.
The death is not being treated as suspicious.
