Missing man Maxwell

Police are appealing for public assistance to help locate missing man Maxwell.

The 90-year-old was last seen leaving his Sunshine address about 9am this morning to attend a doctor's appointment.

Maxwell last spoke to his family on the phone about 5.30pm stating he was in Williamstown and on his way home, however he has not been heard from since.

He is believed to be driving a blue Mazda 6 station wagon, bearing registration plates ZII220.

Maxwell is described as 175cm tall, with a solid build and short grey hair.

He is believed to be wearing brown or green trousers, with a polo shirt and glasses.

It is believed he could be in the Sunshine, Footscray or Williamstown areas.

Police and family hold concerns for his welfare as his disappearance is extremely out of character.

Police have released an image of Maxwell in the hope someone recognises him and can provide information on his current whereabouts.
