Missing Man's Body Found During Parramatta Search

A body of a man has been located at Lake Parramatta.

Emergency services were called to Lake Parramatta, off North Rocks Road, Parramatta, just before 6.30pm tonight (Monday 25 March 2024), after reports a man was seen to go underwater and failed to resurface.

Officers attached to Parramatta Police Aera Command commenced inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Following a multi-agency search with assistance from Marine Area Command, NSW Ambulance paramedics and the TOLL Rescue helicopter, the body of a man was located in the water about 9:30pm today (Monday 25 March 2024).

The body is yet to be formally identified, but is believed to be a 23-year-old man.

A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
