A teenager missing from Canley Heights has been located safe and well after police issued an SMS geo-targeting alert.
The 19-year-old man was last seen at Canley Heights about 12.45pm today (Sunday 9 January 2022).
Officers attached to Fairfield City Police Area Command were notified a short time later, when he was unable to be located.
Police subsequently issued a public appeal for information and an SMS geo-targeting alert to the Canley Heights and Liverpool areas.
About 5.15pm, the teenager was located safe and well by a member of the public at Liverpool – who had received the SMS alert.
Police wish the thank the public and the media for their assistance.
