A girl reported missing from the states north coast has been located safe and well.
The 12-year-old girl was last seen leaving her home at Wauchope - approximately 20km west of Port Macquarie - about 8.30pm yesterday (Friday 17 June 2022).
When she failed to contact family or friends, she was reported missing to officers from the Mid North Coast Police District who commenced an investigation into her whereabouts.
Following inquiries, the girl was located at a shopping complex in Port Macquarie about 11.40am today (Sunday 19 June 2022).
Police would like to thank the community and the media for their assistance.
