Mitta Mitta Flow Advice 5 January

Landholders and river users, including pumpers, on the Mitta Mitta River are advised to take into account the forecast releases of water from Dartmouth Dam and make any necessary adjustment to their river activities.

Releases from Dartmouth (measured at Coleman's gauge) are expected to increase starting Monday 5th January, from the current flow rate of 1,400 ML/day (megalitres) until reaching the target flow rate of approximately 5,700 ML/day by Wednesday 7th January where, the flow will remain for a period of two days before receding to 3,500 ML/day by Tuesday 13th January.

A second pulse is planned to commence on Thursday 15th January with an expected increase starting from 3,500 ML/day until reaching the target flow rate of approximately 4,450 ML/day (within one day) where, the flow will remain for two days before slowly receding to 1,165 ML/day by Friday 23rd January and remain at this flow rate until further notice.
