Mobile recovery centre hits road: Ballina Shire

This week a small team of agencies will visit key locations across the Ballina Shire. The initiative led by Ballina Shire Council and Resilience NSW aims to bring key services and support to flood-affected residents who are unable to visit the Ballina Recovery Centre.

From Monday to Thursday the team will travel to Ballina CBD, South Ballina, West Ballina and Wardell. Agencies and services will include Red Cross, Department of Communities and Justice – Housing, Services Australia, Service NSW, Legal Aid and Resilience NSW. Residents will be able to access mental health support, legal aid, housing services and information about financial support available.

Flood-affected residents can continue to access these services at the Ballina Recovery Centre, seven days a week. The centre is located at the Ballina Surf Club, East Ballina and can be accessed via free shuttle buses.

Wednesday 30 March 2022

  • Wardell War Memorial Hall, 49 Richmond St, Wardell (9am - 12 noon)

Thursday 31 March 2022

  • Quays Reserve Rugby Club house, Kalinga Street, West Ballina (12 noon to 4pm)
