Monash Museum of Australian Photography Rebrands

Museum of Australian Photography

We are excited to share that Monash Gallery of Art (MGA) rebrands as the Museum of Australian Photography (MAPh).

The rebrand to MAPh represents the gallery's renewed vision to champion Australian photography, creativity, innovation and the arts. It is a significant moment in Council's history, one that celebrates the legacy of those who have made the gallery into what it is today.

MGA first opened to the public in 1990, and has since become a key cultural destination for not only residents living in the City of Monash, but communities right across the country.

For over 30 years, MGA has inspired audiences to embrace, explore and value photography, building the envious reputation as the home of Australian photography, with the most significant photography collection in the country.

Please note that the Wheelers Hill Library branch name will not change.
