Moorabbin will come alive over the next two Friday nights with the return of Moorabbin Junction After Dark, a free all-ages festival celebrating art, music, food, and community.
Running on Friday 3 and Friday 10 October from 5-9pm, the event will transform the Junction and the surrounding precinct into a vibrant hub of colour, creativity, and entertainment.
The festival is a chance for the community to enjoy Moorabbin in a whole new way, while also supporting local businesses.
Moorabbin Junction After Dark is about bringing people together to celebrate our local arts, culture, and food scene in a fun, family-friendly environment.
It's also a great opportunity to support our local traders - whether that's by enjoying a meal, grabbing a drink, or exploring one of the many businesses staying open late to welcome everyone.
Highlights across the two nights will include:
- Look out for Moorabbin Junction's new wall mural – artists Lucy Desbordes and Katerine Gailer have co-designed a glowing mural with local young people
- Glow Trail – follow the lights, discover glowing murals, and unlock hidden surprises
- Live music – enjoy sounds that fill the streets and set the vibe
- Late-night local eats & drinks – Moorabbin Junction businesses serving up delicious food, drinks, and special offers
- Roving illuminated performers – glowing characters bringing sparkle to the streets
- Silent disco & DJ – dance the night away
- Neon artworks by Volter International – perfect backdrops for that festival selfie
- Party prizes & giveaways – plenty of reasons to play and join in the fun
- And for kids: Find the hidden symbols along the Glow Trail for your chance to win a prize!
The event is fully accessible and designed to be enjoyed by all ages, with plenty of opportunities to explore, participate, and discover something new.
The event is on Station Street and Central Avenue, next to Moorabbin Station, making it easy to get there by train or bus and avoid parking hassles.
