A fourth round of the COVID-19 Business Impact Support Program has opened today to support those Tasmanian businesses facing the ongoing impacts of COVID-19.

The first three rounds of the Business Impact Support program have already seen more than $4.9 million in grants provided directly to more than 2,350 businesses facing challenges.

This round will assist businesses that experienced trading losses or a significant reduction in customer demand due to COVID-19 for the period of 15 March 2022 to 14 April 2022.

Funding amounts and eligibility criteria remain consistent with previous funding rounds, with grant amounts ranging from $1,000 to $10,000.

Businesses that experienced an unavoidable loss of perishable goods because they had to close for seven days or more may also be eligible for payments of between $1,000 and $5,000.

To be eligible for support under this program, a business must have a COVID-19 Safety Plan, a completed risk assessment in place and, where required, a COVID-19 Case and Outbreak Management Plan.

Applications for round four of the program will remain open until 12 May 2022. Businesses that received assistance in other rounds of the program may still be eligible to apply under round four.
