More reserve upgrades planned

Mitchell Shire Council will continue to expand and improve its play space network throughout the municipality as the number of residents continues to grow year on year.

Community consultation officially opened for two new play spaces in Wallan with both set to receive upgrades.

Danaher Reserve in Wallan could see upgraded play equipment and a new half-court basketball area, while Botanical Avenue Reserve in Wallan could have a new half-court basketball area installed.

The projects are funded by the Victorian Government's Growing Suburbs Fund, with in-kind support from Mitchell Shire Council.

Mitchell Shire Council would like to see what the community thinks of the planned upgrades to the reserves as it continues to address a key gap in Wallan's recreational infrastructure

To get involved, people can take our online survey, pick up a hard copy survey at the Wallan Customer and Library Service Centre or take part in our drop in sessions.

  • Botanical Avenue Reserve will host a drop in session on Tuesday 18 June, 4.30-5.30pm.
  • Danaher Reserve will host a drop in session on Wednesday 19 June, 4.30-5.30pm.

If the weather is poor on the day then the drop in session will be moved to the Wallan Customer and Library Service Centre.

Both surveys close Sunday 23 June.
