Wellness Village itself offers various categories. Including personal care and beauty; healthy eating, nutrition, and weight loss; traditional and complementary medicine; physical activities; as well as public health, prevention, and personalized medicine.

"According to President Joko Widodo's direction that we involve MSMEs. This is a form of our alignment with MSMEs in Solo City and its surroundings," according to Menparekraf.

Deputy for Tourism Products and Events of the MOTCE, Rizki Handayani Mustafa, stated that in the Wellness Village, the MOTCE also collaborated with the Food and Drug Monitoring Agency (BPOM) to present BPOM booth as a means of promoting public services related to the registration of traditional medicinal and cosmetic products for creative economy actors who have not obtained distribution permits.

"This is our current strength, in which, the collaboration of relevant ministries/agencies needs to be built to produce cooperation that can provide convenience to business actors. Thus, the acceleration of economic recovery in the tourism and creative economy sector can be realized," he added.

Head of the Food and Drug Monitoring Agency (BPOM), Dr. Penny K. Lukito, MCP, stated that her party strongly supported the development of wellness tourism in the country. According to her, Indonesia's natural resources are very rich so that they can be processed into wellness products such as cosmetics and herbal products.

The presence of the International Wellness Tourism Conference & Festival (IWTCF) 2022 will encourage and motivate industry actors to continue to innovate in presenting quality wellness products.

"BPOM is of course ready to provide support because the potential for natural wellness products in the form of cosmetics, herbal products, which are based on Indonesian natural resources are tremendous and there are values of local wisdoms," according to Dr. Penny.

"And those are products that are a priority in BPOM to assist, because the main producers are MSMEs. So, everything is interrelated with the creative economy and, of course, BPOM is very supportive in providing assistance from upstream to downstream, research, development, to production, distribution permits, competitive and of course becoming a superior product to become wellness tourism," she added.
