A motorbike rider has been arrested after a crash at Hindmarsh.
It will be alleged that about 9.15pm on Friday 20 February, police and emergency services were called to South Road near Ashwin Parade after reports that two motorcyclists had stopped at a red light, but when the light turned green both riders accelerated quickly.
One of the riders, a 33-year-old Parkside man riding a Suzuki motorcycle collided with a Holden sedan.
The rider suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital in a stable condition.
The driver of the sedan, a 20-year-old Woodville Park man was not injured.
Major Crash officers attended the scene and arrested the other rider, a 24-year-old Munno Para West man and charged him with causing harm by dangerous driving and participate in a street race.
His Yamaha motorbike was impounded and he was bailed to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on 17 April.
