Motorcycle crashes in Brisbane and Logan

A motorcyclist has died and another seriously injured in separate crashes at Cornubia and Bracken Ridge overnight.

Just after 9.30pm, a motorcyclist was travelling along Mount Cotton Road when investigations suggest the rider lost control, hit a culvert and was thrown from the motorcycle.

A 31-year-old Cedar Vale man died at the scene.

Crash investigators are appealing to anyone who may have dashcam footage of this incident to come forward.

In a separate crash just after midnight, investigations suggest a motorcycle was travelling northbound along the Gateway Motorway when it clipped a wall.

A 27-year-old Taigum man sustained serious injuries to his arm and was transported to hospital.

Motorcyclists are our most vulnerable road users and are overrepresented in lives lost on our roads this year.

Rider safety is everyone's responsibility, it starts with you.
