Westgate Highway Patrol officers are appealing for public assistance as they investigate the circumstances surrounding a collision in Wyndham Vale this afternoon.
Emergency services were called to reports a motorcycle and car had collided the intersection of Greens and Storkbill roads about 1.10pm.
The motorcyclist, a man in his 50s, was airlifted to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The driver and passenger inside the car were not injured and stopped at the scene.
The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the collision is ongoing.
