Motorcyclist detected at 200km/h north of Gundagai, NSW

A man will appear in court next month after he was detected allegedly speeding 90km/h over the marked speed limit near Gundagai yesterday, NSW Police say.

Just after 9am yesterday, officers from Traffic and Highway Patrol Command Wagga Wagga were undertaking stationary speed enforcement duties on the Hume Highway in Jugiong (41km north east of Gundagai).

Police will allege a Honda 600 motorcycle, bearing Victorian registration plates, was detected travelling 200km/h in the 110km/h zone.

The rider, a 19-year-old Norfolk Island man, was stopped and spoken to before he was issued a suspension notice for his rider’s licence.

The man was also issued a field court attendance notice for speed/manner dangerous and exceed speed limit over 45km/h. He will appear at Gundagai Local Court on 16 December 2016.
