Motorcyclist dies in crash - Smithfield

A motorcyclist has died following a crash in Smithfield today.

About 12.15pm (Sunday 18 October 2020), emergency services were called to The Horsley Drive after reports a car and motorcycle collided.

On arrival, officers from Fairfield City Police Area Command found the 32-year-old rider unresponsive.

Despite the efforts of police and NSW Ambulance paramedics, the man died at the scene.

The 73-year-old driver of the SUV was taken to hospital for mandatory tests; he was not injured.

Inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the crash continue.
