Motorcyclist evades police while riding with child in Preston

Police have released an image of a man who they would like speak to after a motorcyclist evaded police while riding with a child in Preston earlier this month.

Investigators observed the motorcycle displaying false plates with a young child riding on the back travelling along Murray Road about 3:35pm on 9 March.

Both the rider and young passenger were wearing helmets however no other safety clothing.

Police attempted to intercept the motorcycle however the rider failed to stop for police and accelerated at a fast rate of speed.

The rider was then observed driving onto oncoming traffic.

The motorcycle was last seen driving south along Chifley Drive in Preston.

Police have released the below images of a man who they believe may be able to assist with their investigation.

He is percieved as Caucasian, approximately 185cm tall with short brown hair and a beard.

The rider was wearing grey Nike tracksuit pants, a blue motorsports-branded spray jacket and a black and white helmet.
