Motorcyclist Killed In Crash At Mowbray

Sadly, a 23 year-old man from northern Tasmania has died following a two-vehicle crash on Vermont Road, Mowbray, on Saturday night.

Police and emergency services were called to Vermont Road after reports of a collision between a motorcycle and a car about 8.35pm.

The male motorcycle rider sustained critical injuries in the crash and died at the scene.

A member of the public who was also a retired nurse was one of the first people at the crash scene. The female nurse conducted CPR on the injured man, but he could not be saved.

The driver of the car was not physically injured.

Vermont Road was closed for several hours while crash scene investigators worked at the scene.

Investigations are continuing.
