CanNor funding of over $105,000 will support two local businesses to innovate, increase production and expand distribution of their products

A strong Yukon economy needs vibrant and growing community businesses. Providing tailored support for entrepreneurs and business development helps small businesses innovate, grow and thrive.

Today, while in Whitehorse, Brendan Hanley, Member of Parliament for the Yukon, announced, on behalf of the Honourable Dan Vandal, Minister of Northern Affairs, PrairiesCan and CanNor, that the Government of Canada is investing $105,681 to support two Whitehorse-based food businesses, Yukon Provisions and Sunrise Nutrition, to expand their production, rebrand, and scale up product distribution to new markets.

This strategic investment supports the local economy and the further development of the Yukon's culinary sector by improving the diversity and availability of products both locals and visitors can purchase. This project is also expected to create full-time and part-time employment opportunities.
