Multi vehicle crash, Elimbah

Forensic Crash officers are investigating a serious, multi vehicle crash which occurred in Elimba last night.

At 9.30pm, police responded to reports of a four-vehicle crash on the Bruce Highway.

Investigations suggest a stolen Mazda Tribute was travelling northbound in the southbound lanes when the driver conducted a u-turn and began travelling south in the north bound lanes. The Mazda Tribute then collided with the other vehicles.

The 20-year-old driver and sole occupant of the stolen car was transported to the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital in a serious condition.

A 44-year-old Sunrise Beach man was also transported to the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital with a suspected broken foot.

A 67-year-old South Mackay man and a 28-year-old Glasshouse Mountain man were taken to the Caboolture hospital for treatment with minor injuries.

Investigations are continuing.

Police are appealing for any witnesses who may have dash cam vision to please contact police.
